Since we are spanning four versions of Illustrator here, and each has a few different ways of handling things, it helps me to help you by knowing which version you&#8217;re using. Thanks!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>What version of Illustrator are you using?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Of the colors listed below:<\/li>\n<p>a. Which is most commonly used for printed work?<br \/>\nb.  Which is most commonly used for web-related work?  RGB | CMYK<\/p>\n<li>What&#8217;s the difference between opening a graphic and placing one?<\/li>\n<li>How do you get the guidelines to appear?  How would you use them?<\/li>\n<li>What do you use to &#8220;nudge&#8221; your object?<\/li>\n<li>How would you export your drawing as a raster graphic for use on the web?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Part II &#8211; Looking Around<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Draw a rectangle &#8211; it may be filled or unfilled, but give it a stroke outline.<\/p>\n<p>Once the rectangle has been created, leave it selected and visit each menu (File, Edit, etc) and see what options are available on those menus. Take a look at all the palettes that are available from the View and Windows menu options. Tell me:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Two options you find on the View menu.<\/li>\n<li>Three palettes you can open from the Window menu.<\/li>\n<li>Save your rectangle in .ai format (native format) and as a .jpg (raster format) using the Save for Web option on the File menu. Please place a link to both on your class homepage for me to see.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Part III &#8211; Tutorial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please do the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canion-niwlog.com\/ai\/week1\/wk1-tutorial.html\" target=\"_blank\">tutorial<\/a> on offsetting objects. Your object may be any vector shape\/object of your choosing.<\/p>\n<p>Please post your answers to the review questions here.
