Log in as root or a regular account<\/p>\n<p><strong>root<\/strong><br \/>\n# wget http:\/\/www.wowzamedia.com\/downloads\/WowzaMediaServer-1-5-3\/WowzaMediaServerPro-1.5.3.tar.bin\u00a0 (This downloads the binary file and places it where it needs to go)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> (sudo is a command to execute a binary &#8220;as root&#8221;, which I am already.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>regular user <\/strong><br \/>\n# sh http:\/\/www.wowzamedia.com\/downloads\/WowzaMediaServer-1-5-3\/WowzaMediaServerPro-1.5.3.tar.bin<\/p>\n<p><strong>Then go to the folder <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>cd \/usr\/local\/WowzaMediaServerPro-1.5.3.tar.bin<\/p>\n<p><strong>And then run <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>sh WowzaMediaServerPro-1.5.3.tar.bin<\/p>\n<p><strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Install Location:<br \/>\n\/usr\/local\/WowzaMediaServerPro<\/p>\n<p><strong>To enter serial number:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>cd \/usr\/local\/WowzaMediaServerPro\/bin<br \/>\n.\/startup.sh<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting the Server:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p># \/sbin\/service WowzaMediaServerPro start<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow what a learning experience &#8211; Finally I have installed wowzamedia Server on the VPS account.
